Four Suspects Arrested After Allegedly Caught Breaking Into an Occupied Homestead Valley Home

Marin County Sheriff's deputies arrested four suspects Wednesday after a Homestead Valley resident reported a burglary in progress at her home, where she was alone in her bedroom in the middle of the day.

Deputies were called to a house on Ethel Lane around 3 p.m. Wednesday, when a woman reported hearing footsteps in the hallway and in another room of the house, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Nina Snyder.

The resident told officials that she was startled by two figures running past her bedroom door, and that they took off running when she announced she was calling 911, Snyder said.

Snyder said a Mill Valley Police Detective heard the dispatch, which included a description of the suspects, and located four subjects in the area of Homestead and Laverne.

The suspects were reportedly wearing, and had in their possession, property from a different burglarized home in the same neighborhood, she said.

John Stroman, 22, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, burglary and possession of stolen property, while 18-year-old Emani Gordon was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy.

Two other people who were arrested in connection to the incident were juveniles and taken to Juvenile Hall on suspicion of conspiracy, burglary and possession of stolen property.
