Video: Every 15 Minutes at Tam High - Day Two

In front of an assembly of the entire student body, public safety program continues with a funeral procession, a sentencing of a drunk driver and a guest speaker with a heartbreaking story.

One day after Tam High was home to a that killed two students and left another paralyzed, the Every 15 Minutes program continued Wednesday.

In front of an assembly of the entire student body, teachers, city officials and parents, the program featured a funeral procession, a and the sentencing of the drunk driver. It also featured Jason Barber, a guest speaker with a heartbreaking drunk driving-related story, as well as letters read aloud from the "living dead" students and to them by their parents.

The Every 15 Minutes program is coordinated by the California Highway Patrol and is funded through public safety grants and each school's Parent Teacher Student Association. Tam High stages the program every four years in an effort to challenge students to think about drinking and driving, personal safety and making responsible decisions, particularly how their decisions impact their family and friends.
