Suz Lipman, Neighbor

Suz has lived in Mill Valley for 20 years. She is the social media director for the non-profit Children & Nature Network, an international organization dedicated to helping children everywhere experience nature for physical and psychological health. Her blog, Slow Family Online outlines fun family activities in nature, at home, and in communities, to help readers slow down, discover lost arts, and enjoy more meaning and fun. Her book, Fed Up with Frenzy grew out of her blog, and was named a 2012 TIME Magazine trend of the year.

Suz has also written fiction and non-fiction for numerous magazines and web sites and has helped many people enter the world of social media. She has also served as a Girl Scout leader, on the Mill Valley Library and Kiddo! Boards of Trustees, and on the Safe Routes to Schools Task Force, among others. She and her family enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, antiquing, soap crafting, food canning, and Mill Valley history and lore.
