Gillian Freeman, Neighbor

I am an Australian arts writer, editor and photographer currently living with my husband and three children in Mill Valley. I have published feature articles on the arts in newspapers, magazines and journals including The Canberra Times, State of the Arts, Australian Story, Artlook and Muse but am now looking to branch into journalism in Mill Valley and the surrounding region. I have worked as an art curator, in public relations and in the executive area at the Australian War Memorial as well as in public affairs at the National Gallery of Australia. Among my many degrees, I have a Master of Letters in Art History from the Australian National University, a Master of Sociology from the University of NSW and a Graduate Certificate in Journalism from the University of Technology, Sydney.

I have studied photography at the Canberra Institute of Technology and, for the past two years, have undertaken many courses at PhotoAccess in Canberra, including black & white photography, which I will continue to pursue while in California.
