Marin Day Schools offer extended day services before and after school for children enrolled in kindergarten throughMore fifth grade at any of the five schools in the Mill Valley School District.

A wide variety of activities geared to the interests and abilities of elementary-age children are provided in safe, nurturing, home-like environments and combined with homework support and plenty of time for social interaction. The programs operate during the school year and provide day care during school holidays and closure days. Each campus has hours from 7:30am to 6:30pm.

Established in 1981, Marin Day Schools is a nonprofit organization that also provides early childhood education at two campuses in Mill Valley. It is part of Bright Horizons Family Solutions, a provider of employer-sponsored child care and early education for more than 700 clients in the U.S., Europe and Canada.

The Strawberry Point School campus accommodates up to 24 students for before- and after-school child care under the direction of Carol Finnegan-Pisetsky.

The Mill Valley School District is comprised of five elementary schools (Edna Maguire, Old Mill School, Park School,More Strawberry Point School and Tam Valley School) and one middle school (Mill Valley Middle School), with a total enrollment of approximately 2,700 students. Superintendent Paul Johnson oversees the district's operations.

The district is governed by a five-member board of trustees. The trustees are Robin B. Moses, Steven J. Sell, Raoul Wertz, Leslie Wachtel and Bob Jacobs. The board meets twice a month at the district office.
