Super Duper Burger
430 Miller Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Nearly three years after Jack in the Box closed in the classic burger joint space at 430 Miller Ave., itsMore replacement opened this week, touting its addictive burgers, eco-friendly mindset and a drive-thru window on the way.

In December 2011, Super Duper Burger, the fast-growing local burger chain from San Francisco restaurateur Adriano Paganini, opened its fourth San Francisco Bay Area location at 430 Miller Ave., the former home of Jack in the Box.

Super Duper Burger promises “fast food burgers (with) slow food values,” with burgers and chicken and vegetarian sandwiches priced between $4.50 and $6.50. It also includes fries, milkshakes, ice cream cones and sundaes.

Super Duper positions itself as the evolution of the fast food burger joint with sustainably farmed, vegetarian-fed cows, organic ingredients and compostable packaging.

Super Duper Burger also has solar panels over some of its parking stalls to power the business and offers a drive-thru.

Paganini is the founder of the Pasta Pomodoro chain whose other restaurants include Beretta, Starbelly and Delarosa.

The Miller Ave. location is the fourth Super Duper Burger in the Bay Area and the first outside San Francisco. The first opened in early 2010 on Market Street in the Castro district, with a second spot opening on Market near Union Square a year later. A Marina district location on Chestnut Street opened in October 2011, and fifth spot is expected to open in the remodeled Metreon at Mission and Fourth streets in 2012, Paganini said.

“Our burgers are highly addictive, something I experience all the time myself, and we want to warn people about that,” Paganini said.
