Known for its vast collection, a comprehensive local history room and an array of children's programs, the Mill…More Valley Public Library has long been an area institution. A number of reading rooms accommodated the town's early population, but the library really got off the ground in July 1911 on the back of a $10,000 grant from the Carnegie Foundation. The library was first located at the corner of Lovell Avenue and Madrona Street, with about 750 donated books.</p> <p>City Librarian Anji Brenner and her team of reference librarians and volunteers oversee a collection of more than 132,000 books and an ever-growing catalog of digital content.</p>

It is part of Bright Horizons Family Solutions, a provider of employer-sponsored child care and early education for more than 700 clients in the U.S., Europe and Canada.</p> <p>Marin Day Schools uses the "World at Their Fingertips" developmental, anti-bias and multicultural curriculum, which is child centered, hands-on, experiential, project-based and fun.</p> <p>The Mill Valley campus is a project-based program that is community oriented and uses its location near Old Mill Park and the Mill Valley Public Library for field studies and project work.</p>
