It provides fire, rescue and paramedic services to the communities of Tamalpais Valley, Almonte, Homestead Valley, Alto, Strawberry, portions of Tiburon, and the City of Sausalito.</p> <p>The district operates three stations, and responds to more than 4,000 incidents per year. The district also provides paramedic service to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Muir Beach, and the Muir Woods National Monument, and a regional rescue unit that serves all of the above areas, the Tiburon peninsula, and the Golden Gate Bridge area.</p>
