Thanks Jessica! I was able to add your video to our slideshow.

The file was too large to upload here, so I put it on YouTube. Here's a short video I took of myRead More husband and daughter dancing at Woofstock. However, the guy to the right of them is what really makes the video. He's awesome and really got the party started! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swGA_JF6tQM

This would not be the land of the free if it were not for the brave. Remember them, thank them.

Thank you for mentioning teens, for whom there has been sparse welcome downtown in recent years.

Look who's back from "Death Row". It's elephant man with a bright new outlook and a tailRead More down between his legs. Looks like I missed the Poster Parole Board Hearing. Still not buyin' the Repub credentials....but at least you keep an icon of Romney up for everybody and that's just free advertising....as long as Napa patchers don't associate your comments with the candidate......you two are worlds apart, at best. As far as I'm concerned, (not much), I blame the whole incident on a lack of Jack's tacos. Go Petaluma Little League!!! You brought us all a ton of pride about your successful season! What a grand achievement! You kids will never forget it, ever, for the rest of your lives.

Hey, Repug Kid, I got it. It was parody. Parody is a hard thing to achieve in writing, man. MostRead More folks don't get it.

Good point Margarita! Yes, people should use their real names. Love your word play, man but now IRead More am thirsty.

Vivienne's papa here. Maria, thank you for a lovely article. I wanted to address Mr. Driscoll'sRead More comment that this all feels forced or polished. I appreciate and respect his opinion. And he did send me a very nice note after we dialogued on Twitter. This was Vivienne's idea entirely. She has insisted on doing this every day. Comes from her heart. We are merely supporting her with everything we've got. Social media is what I do for a living, so I teach Vivienne how to use it to achieve her goal. Hence the "polish." :-) The posts are all her words (unless otherwise indicated). I just type them out and enhance with elements such as hashtags. The moment she says she has had enough, rest assured: we will be the first ones to fold up the stand. But she shows absolutely no signs of wanting to do that. She is making a stand. And we will stand right with her. Thank you for standing with us! Our very best! Eric Harr

What a great idea! How about a Pets for Peaceful Dissent gathering? Maybe hook it up with theRead More downtown San Rafael Occupy rallies? Or maybe as a sub-group of the whole Occupy Movement nation-wide? Can you even imagine the public outcry if pets were arrested? maced? indefinitely detained? Someone needs to run with this! Someone needs to find my morning meds! Seriously though, there are some mighty scary things afoot that are a real threat to our liberties. Worried about the criminalization of dissent? You should be. Educate yourself. http://rt.com/usa/news/wolf-interview-039/

So nice to see the dogs getting involved with the fight for cancer.
Barbara Randall August 10, 2012 at 06:17 pm
Barbara Randall Perhaps citizen should contact the American Cancer Society to get all theRead More information citizen wants to know about funds raised for Cancer patients and all the good works the Discovery Shop has done. Can't complain when informed.

What's their yearly gross sales? They spend $168,000 a year for rent alone. Fine, have aRead More storefront, but not so pricey. On another note the stuff they sell ain't cheap.
Anne Tique August 10, 2012 at 01:04 pm
Some people, including those who have succumbed to cancer, may have more personal goods than cashRead More which donated to Discovery Shop, are their way to give. And some of us, including those who are battling cancer, may need the price point the Discovery Shop offers.

Kudos to Mill Valley residents, Rick Ellis and Diane Barber, coaches of the North Bay SpecialRead More Olympics swim team for many years, who will be taking a group to the Davis games. Our son Oliver Young would be competing but will be away during the games. Special Olympics swimming has been a godsend for us, providing an opportunity for regular healthy exercise, a chance for supportive and fun competition, and a sense of community for our son.
