Nothing is more harmful to the people at the lower end of the income and wealth scale than theRead More unspoken policy of both the Federal Government and the State Government of maintaining an open border with Mexico. It guarantees that housing demand will always out strip housing availability. In addition, it insures a constant flow on cheap unskilled workers into the labor pool, making income gains for those already in that pool impossible to achieve. Evidence of this is everywhere in our faces. Add to this the taxpayer subsidized welfare costs of these "new arrivals" that are imposed on the rest of us, the cost of government continues to increase leaving less and less for those of us who started out our lives here. With this less and less we have to pay more and more. The One Percent is quite happy with this arrangement, grinding us into oblivion, all this dressed up in the happy face of our supposed duty to the shibboleths of equalitarianism, diversity, multiculturalism, and what other bits of lingo that can be conjured up to serve as effective substitutes for thought on the not so perplexing issues facing our society today. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++What is the solution. First, close the borders and let wages rise for 99 Percent. Second, let housing supply catch up with demand. Third, reduce the government imposed impediments to increased productivity and employment in the private sector. Fourth, give our communities a chance to gel and find their new equilibrium, naturally, without compulsion and violence and paradigm of violation that goes along with it. Finally, end the senseless wars we have been fighting for the last 25 years and give us the Peace Dividend we have been waiting for. Declare victory, bring the troops home, roll up our sleeves and start rebuilding this once great country of ours. The rest of the world can take care of itself without our endless meddling. It's high time to heal our own!
