Tam Theater Ensemble Takes on Survival in a Catastrophe With Student Written Play

Tamalpais High School's Conservatory Theater Ensemble (CTE) presents Flare: A Bright New World - performances beginning tonight through Tuesday.

Tamalpais High School’s Conservatory Theater Ensemble (CTE) presents Flare: A Bright New World. Performances start Friday, November 1st and play through Tuesday, November 5th at the Caldwell Theater on Tam’s campus. Conservatory Theater Ensemble is an award-winning dramatic arts program. Since its founding in 1976, CTE has provided students with a collaborative, comprehensive program that trains students in both the on-stage and off-stage elements of theater.

What happens when all communication, transportation, and electronics are cut off and natural disasters leave the world in rubble? For eleven strangers this is the question lingering over them. Struggling to deal with the aftermath of a catastrophic event, we follow their journey as they strive for survival in a world unlike anything they’ve ever known.

Written by Tam students Glyn Peterson, Tessa King, and Mike Van Zandt.

Directed by CTE guest artist Bob Ernst, director of last year’s show, Rhinoceros.
All performances start at 7:00 P.M. at the Caldwell Theater located at the back of
TAM’s campus. Box office opens one hour before performances. Advance tickets can be purchased up to 8 hours ahead of the performance online at www.ctetam.org/tickets

Ticket prices are $5/ Students and Senior Citizens and $12/ Adults. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis when the theater doors open one-half hour before performances
