Run or Dye will be partnering with FireFighter's Toy Program, a local charity that donates toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children throughout the year, to help deserving families in the community have a merry holiday season. Run or Dye will donate a portion of the race proceeds to the organization as well as ask participants to bring unwrapped toys for the local Toys for Tots to give as gifts to children and families in need.

MEMORIAL VIGIL FOR NEWTOWN

Saturday, December 14, 2013, 4:30 PM

Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church lawn, 410 Sycamore, Mill Valley

Join us for a candlelight vigil honoring and commemorating the 20 children and 6 adults murdered at Sandy Hook School in Newtown, CT a year ago.  All across the country Organizing for Action (OFA) chapters will be hosting events,  in solidarity with and support of the still grieving Sandy Hook families and all those affected by gun violence.  This anniversary reminds us that Newtown could be Mill Valley and that we are all in this together.  The Mill Valley event will be especially poignant – a circle of 26 columns, each with a pair of shoes, a candle and a vase for flowers and each bearing the name of a victim will form the center of the vigil.  Participants are invited to place flowers and offer personal messages at each station.

Philippine "Bagyo" Fundraiser

Monday, December 16, 2013, 8:00 PM

Sweetwater Music Hall, 19 Corte Madera Ave.

Philippine "Bagyo" Fundraiser

The recent Typhoon (Bagyo in the Filipino language) in the Philippines has led to a lot of hardship and displacement of millions of people. Through awareness and the love of music , we have planned an event and fundraiser to help those in need.  We all take simple necessities of life for granted until they are gone.  Through this event and fundraiser our hopes are to bring those life necessities back to people of the Philippines .

Proceeds will be donated to The World Food Programme

On December 16th at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley Ca, we are gathering local musicians from the Bay area to raise money for those in need. Members of ALO, Mother Hips, Tea Leaf Green and "Special Guests," will be gracing the stage for what will be an EPIC Jam session and a night of music to remember. The evening will also host Ticket Raffles and Silent Auction items.

Don't see anything that catches your eye? Check the Mill Valley community calendar for many more great weekend activities coming up! Make sure to add your events as well!
