Join us in a live performance celebrating the West Coast premiere of the Arhoolie Records film, This Ain't No Mouse Music (filmmakers Maureen Gosling and Chris Simon) and Arhoolie Records founder and roots music pioneer, Chris Strachwitz. Featuring performances by three exceptional groups from the film:

· Los Cenzontles --Mexican roots music revival pioneers
· Eric and Suzy Thompson – Southern roots music masters
· Creole Belles – Cajun/Creole dance band

International Walk to School Day

Wednesday, October 9th is International Walk to School Day. Join several elected officials as they promote the importance of physical activity while reducing our footprint.

Collage Playshop w/ ELAINE LARSON

Thursdays, October 10, 1 to 4 p.m. 
$30, $24 OHCA members, $5 materials fee.

Enjoy a fun, creative evening within a safe community of like-minded souls and leave with your very own fine art collage(s)! We will begin by reviewing a few ways of making collages, including the Talbot Technique aka 'Collage Without Liquid Adhesives', the methods of the Sonoma Collage Collective, and the classic approach of 20th century pioneer Kurt Schwitters. Then you will be free to create in whatever way most appeals to you. All materials supplied, and you are also welcome to bring images that you would like to work into your art. The Collage Playshop is suitable for all levels of artists. RSVP by the Tuesday prior to each session.

Lauren Gunderson's "I and You" World Premiere

 Marin Theatre Company, 397 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley

Based in San Francisco, playwright Lauren Gunderson has had a 
relationship with MTC since 2008. MTC has helped her develop two of her 
plays through our New Works program. She is a Bay Area favorite, with 
eight of her plays, including I and You, premiering locally in 
the last two years and this coming year. Her previous scripts have been 
praised for their “excellent balance of intelligent, pointed humor” (The Daily Californian), for being “exceptionally well crafted, emotionally grounded and thought-provoking” (TheatreStorm; and for “not only making each character adorably quirky but engendering empathy for them as well” (The Week Magazine).

Catering extend an invitation to discover a broad spectrum of international wines, exploring with smell and taste, than putting words to what we discover - one sip at a time.

Hosted by Rosie Kasper, a certified sommelier and wine educator who has worked for some of California's finest wineries, and Chef Jacqueline Schwartz, the talent behind R.S.V.P. Catering, their combined expertise brings a sophisticated, yet, playful approach to sharing their extensive knowledge. You will enjoy it!
