Slideshow: The Redwoods Prom

The 19th edition of the Redwoods Prom was held Friday night, with students from 's leadership class lending a hand in a variety of ways to create a special event for residents of the residents.

The students helped to decorate the auditorium Friday afternoon, assisted staff Friday evening and, most importantly, shared dances with Redwoods residents at the prom itself.

Former owner Bob Canepa has been spearheading this event since its inception. This year's theme this year was Spring Rain, and the Prom King and Queen were 98-year-old Al Goldbaum and 99-year-old Claire Patterson, respectively.
