Ferrari Owners Rally for a Cause

The 2011 edition of the FOG Rally, a charity ride to Los Angeles for Opportunity Impact, kicked off in Mill Valley on Friday.

As Mill Valley Mayor Ken Wachtel scanned downtown Mill Valley early Friday morning, he saw a sea of mostly red Ferraris lined up all around Depot Plaza.

"If you look at the Registrar of Voters rolls, you could say there hasn't been this much red in Mill Valley in a long time," Wachtel quipped.

Ferrari owners from all over the Bay Area brought their pricey sports cars to Mill Valley as the starting point for the , a charity ride to Los Angeles to raise funds for and awareness of Opportunity Impact. The organization’s programs are designed to equip at-risk youth living in public housing with the skills and support necessary to navigate their way to a brighter future, through education, personal skill development and case management.
