For the last summer night of my 50's...

We decided to drive to Twin Peaks and see the moon rise.  The moon was so big over the San Francisco Bay we thought we should have had on a Neil Young song!  When we drove down the peak the Golden Gate Bridge was shimmering mystically in the partly cloudy foggy night.  We do live in a postcard!

We chose LeZinc, a French bistro on 24th Street to have a nightcap, and my last drink for the last summer day of my 50's.  Over  blanc and rose champagne we remembered the highlights of our summer adventures on the road:  the McCloud River waterfalls, the Wild Plum waterhole and the Yuba River, the wild surf at the Pacific Grove beach on the 17-Mile Drive...

Today--the first day of Fall--we're volunteering to relieve an artist working in a redwood grove at the Mill Valley Art Festival...

only 12 more days left until I turn 60!

Life is good!
