Yesterday for my job I drove from San Rafael to San Francisco to Stinson Beach in the very moody rain storm.
After logging 120 miles on my Community Action do-good-mobile, I rested at sunset at the Corte Madera Creek to watch the ducks eat dinner.
As I did a huge rainbow appeared flooding the scene with super celestial light...sort of like a Thomas Kinkaid painting on steroids!
I was so astonished when another rainbow appeared on my right!

with a super-charged light
rain and mist and fog ...
some sight I'd never seen
in all my years here
and it lasted over five minutes
both rainbows
while the sun set
on the day
the Supreme Court gutted
the Voting Rights Act
Nelson Mandela died and
a friend, 42, was in a hard labor
to birth her first child
at Marin General Hospital...
I still haven't heard yet if
mother and child are alive and well so I am on pins and needles
as I write this post the next morning!
