Viewfinder: Creekside Tunes, Lax Camp and More
Local kids and adults participate in a variety of summer activities, from Tam Valley concerts to recreation at Tam High.
Creekside Fridays returned for a 6th year at the Cabin in Tennessee Valley earlier this summer, with local musicians performing for hundreds of residents, who dance, eat, play and socialize with their neighbors. Our Viewfinder caught the event, which is sponsored by the Tamalpais Community Services District, last Friday. It runs for nine weeks on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event ends Aug. 12.
The Mill Valley Public Library held its second “Book Exchange” of the summer this week in the Peter Dreyfuss Garden beside the Library. The library plans to hold another exchange in August.
Over at the football field at Tam High this week, our Viewfinder found about 70 kids at the All West Lacrosse Camp and a dozen women at an Adult P.E. class. Across town in front of Mill Valley Flowers on Throckmorton Ave., a Sausalito artist with a renowned father painted pictures of flowers.
