Tam's May, Stornaiuolo honored by MCAL

Junior Jenna May earns first-team all-league honors in girls basketball in a vote of the coaches, while Frankie Stornaiuolo is named to the boys' second team.

’s high-scoring and were honored by the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) when the coaches selected the all-league teams over the weekend.

May, a junior, earned first-team All-MCAL girls honors after finishing as the league’s No. 3 scorer (14.5 points per game) and No. 4 rebounder (6.7).

She was joined on the first team by Justin-Siena’s Hailey Breakwell and Katherine Lee, Marin Catholic’s Emily Easom and . Like May, Easom and Alferness will be returning for senior seasons next year.

was selected Player of the Year.

Stornaiuolo was named to the boys’ second team. The senior was the league’s fourth-best scorer (14.4) and also averaged 5.9 rebounds a game.

The All-MCAL first team featured San Marin’s Chris Glennon, Terra Linda’s Mike Best, Redwood’s Matt Mareno, Marin Catholic’s David Ahern and Drake’s Joey Euphrat.

San Marin star Stuart Wesonga was the Player of the Year.
