Jordan, Rabin Rep Mill Valley on All-MCAL Baseball Squad

Red-tailed Hawks sophomore standout nabs Honorable Mention, while Branson senior garners a spot on the first team in the Marin County Athletic League's annual awards balloting.

's  was the lone sophomore selected when the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) picked its all-league baseball teams for 2011. Jordan garnered an Honorable Mention selection.

Jordan, the only Red-tailed Hawk to earn an all-league distinction this season, was honored as a designated hitter/utility player.

Two other Mill Valley residents joined Jordan on the all-MCAL team. Mill Valley resident and Branson senior Kenny Rabin, an infielder heading to Pomona College next season, and Marin Catholic outfielder Connor Murphy both made the first team.

Filling out the rest of the All-MCAL first team were infielders Matt Mendelsohn of Novato, Ryan Zirkle of San Marin and Parker Shaw of San Rafael, Travis Grossi of San Marin and Mark Wangeman of Justin-Siena, pitchers Al Geraldi of Marin Catholic and Nick Driscoll of San Marin, catcher Jake Toll-McKillop and DH/utility Corbin Wirta of Redwood.

Marin Catholic senior Robb Woodcock was selected Pitcher of the Year, while San Marin junior Ryan Burke earned Player of the Year honors.
