Run for the Seals (Fundraising Races for The Marine Mammal Center)

Run for the Seals takes place in the beautiful Marin Headlands, starting at Rodeo Beach and ending on Bunker Road near the Center’s hospital and visitor center.

Routes

Back by popular demand, this year’s race provides participants with two route options*:

  • 4-mile run: a road and dirt track route through the headlands (hilly in parts) (may change, due to permit approval)
  • 2-mile walk: a scenic route overlooking the ocean for those who want a shorter but challenging and rewarding hike / walk with viewing, refreshment and education stations along the way.

This year’s 4-mile race will be SELF-TIMED, so please bring a stopwatch if you want to know your race times (we will also have a digital clock at the finish line). The 2-mile route is not a race and participants are encouraged to take this route at their own pace whilst enjoying the views and activities.

Prizes will be presented to the first, second and third place finishers of the 4-mile race (male & female and children 12 years and under).
