Marin County Triathlon

The Marin County Triathlon will be held Sunday, October 31, 2010 at McNears Beach County Park in San Rafael. This is a gorgeous and challenging Olympic distance Triathlon; a 1.5 K swim, 22 Mile bike and 10 K run along San Pablo Bay, County of Marin, City of San Rafael and China Camp State Park. As an Olympic distance event, the race will be USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned for professional, elite, celebrity and amateurs. 

This will be the third year that the Marin County Triathlon is a sustainable event. In the past it has been voted the #1 green event by Triathlete Magazine and achieved the first and only Evergreen Award from the Council for Responsible Sport. In addition to its green commitment, the triathlon is a not for profit event and all proceeds are being donated to charity. 

Please keep in mind that the event is limited to 1000 participants. Those interested must pre-register online as there is no race day registration. For more information or to register for the event please see the event website, http://www.marintriathlon.com.
