REACTION: Tam coach sounds like a father when he frequently refers to his players as "my boys," and as this season goes on he knows that his boys are going to need to keep their chins up if they're going to win an MCAL game or two.

"What we're struggling with right now has more to do with life skills than basketball skills," he said. "I hope over the next few weeks my boys will learn the work ethic it takes to achieve success. ... When that victory does come, it will be that much sweeter."

Pribble said his biggest disappointment with this game was that the Hawks worked hard in practice on attacking Justin-Siena's press and then had such a hard time with it in the first half. "We're working on finding what that light switch is, that on switch is, to get that competitive spirit going," he said.

TAM'S NEXT ACTION: Friday at Drake, 7:30 p.m.
