Teachers Gather at Town Center for Grade-In

As part of statewide Week of Action, teachers seek to highlight the dire state of public education funding by grading homework at Corte Madera mall.

Looking to drive home the point that they don't stop working when the bell rings at the end of the school day, more than two dozen teachers from all over Marin gathered at Corte Madera Town Center Tuesday afternoon for a "Grade-In."

The event was part of the larger statewide , in which teachers, parents and local school districts are teaming up to highlight the urgent need to fund puboic education in California. The goal of the week's worth of activities is to push state legislators to pass a budget that incoroporates the .
