As school starts in the upcoming week, it's not just parents who want to know our local school schedules. Locals should know all the major school schedules around Mill Valley-- so everyone knows when to be on alert for kids and cars!
All schools start September 10 to accommodate summer construction projects.
Here are the local school schedules:
School starts at 8:15 a.m and is out at 2:25 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays, 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 1:54 p.m. for early release on Wednesdays.

All grades start at 8:30 a.m.
Kindergarten is out at 11:50 p.m.
Grades 1-5 are out at 2:50 p.m.; except on Wednesdays when they are out at 1:45 p.m.

Kindgergarten starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at noon for the first few weeks of school. Beginning Monday, October 1, kindergarten students will begin a full day schedule with dismissal at 1:30 p.m.
Grades 1 through 5 start school at 8:30 a.m. and end school at 2:50 p.m., except on Wednesdays when school is out at 1:45 p.m. for early dismissal.

Kindergarten at Park School has an early dismissal schedule from September 1 - September 23. Under that schedule, school is from 8:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. Regular kindergarten hours begin September 26 with school going from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
For grades 1-5, school starts at 8:30 and is out by 2:50 p.m., except on Wednesdays when early dismissal is at 1:45 p.m.
First bell for open classrooms is at 8:25 a.m. at Strawberry Point School. Kindergarten lets out at 11:50 a.m. for the first few weeks of school. Beginning Sept. 17, school for kindergartners gets out at 1:40 p.m.
Grades 1-5 start at 8:25 a.m. and are out at 2:50 p.m., except for Wednesdays when early dismissal lets out at 1:45 p.m.

Kindergarten starts at 8:30 a.m. and lets out at 11:50 a.m. for the first weeks of school. Beginning Sept. 28, the school schedule for kindergartners is 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Like many of the schools, there is playground supervision in the morning from 8 - 8:30 a.m.

Although not technically in the Mill Valley School District, the Tam High schedule has an impact on local traffic.
School begins on August 22 and starts at 8 a.m. daily, but lets out at 2:25 p.m. on Mondays, 3:25 p.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and 2:45 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The first scheduled minimum day is Sept. 14 and school is out at 12:35 p.m.
