Kiddo's Shop/Eat/Live Local Campaign Rolls On With Showroom Event

Fashion show is part of a series of holiday season events to encourage residents to shop at stores that support local educational foundation.

As it of its annual fundraising campaign, is in the midst of a holiday shopping campaign that encourages residents to not only shop locally but specifically with those businesses who support local schools through the Kiddo Business Partnership Program.

The campaign includes a series of events, including a fashion show at (30 Miller Ave.) tonight at 7 pm. Many of the businesses who support local schools, including as All Wrapped Up, Balboa, Cafe del Soul, Mill Valley Market and Pharmaca, are also offering discounts as part of the campaign.

“Supporting our schools is serious business, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun while doing it,” Kiddo officials said in a statement.

The nonprofit educational foundation has raised its fundraising goals in recent years as the deals with a exacerbated by stagnant property tax revenue, booming enrollment and continued cuts from the state government.
