Film Screening Benefits Middle School PTSA

'Connected,' a film from Mill Valley resident Tiffany Shlain, links the personal and the technological and has drawn rave reviews in its recent run at the Sequoia.

has shown her latest release, Connected, all over the country this year, screening six times at the Sundance Film Festival and garnering a standing ovation at the premiere. 

But while has drawn rave reviews from the likes of Al Gore (“With humor and with a creativity all her own, Tiffany illuminates the issues that affect us all in a way that is both freeing and inspiring”), the film has connected Shlain to her hometown over the past two weeks. Connected has been showing since mid-September at the , and closes tonight with a at 7:30 p.m. that benefits the PTSA.

Shlain is participating in a Q&A following the film, including a discussion on technology and its impact on middle school aged kids. For every ticket purchased to the screening, $10 goes to the MVMS PTSA to fund programs like the Community First Program and WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) program, among others.
