Tam Valley School Modernization - Design Development Public Input Meeting

Tam Valley School Modernization - Design Development Public Input Meeting

  • Comprehensive Functional Review
  • Aesthetic Design Review
  • Construction Estimate

On behalf of the Mill Valley School District (MVSD) Board of Trustees, the District has launched the Facilities Modernization Bond Program funded by the proceeds of the November 2009 voter approved "Measure C" bond measure. The first three projects the District seeks public input on are the Edna Maguire New Elementary School, and Modernization at Old Mill and Tam Valley Elementary Schools.

The MVSD feels strongly that a robust public input process provides for a better project outcome. A site committee at each of these schools has worked with architects and District staff for the past five (5) months to develop designs for each project. This process has also included numerous public input meetings. The District invites the public to attend the next set of three (3) meetings focused on final Schematic Design plans for the new Edna Maguire Elementary School; and Design Development for Tam Valley and Old Mill Elementary Schools. Schematic Designs for the latter two schools were approved by the MVSD Board of Trustees on June 15, 2010 and can be seen at www.mvschools.org/bond/
