There are two winners in every presidential campaign: The inevitable winner when it begins – and the inevitable victor after it ends.

Samuel L. Popkin, noted political scientist, author and professor of political science at the University of California, San Diego gives a free lecture at Congregation Kol Shofar about the upcoming presidential election. Popkin’s most recent book is The Reasoning Voter: Communication and Persuasion in Presidential Campaigns.

Popkin has been a presidential pollster in five campaigns and he will moderate the national presidential debates this fall.
