Ocu-PIE Evergreen : NO concrete slab for Evergreen Ave.!

Please look at the photo below. If you had a choice, would you spend over one million dollars to pour concrete on this natural, green grass sidewalk?
I have a list of things I could do with that money. How about you?
A 9,000 square foot sidewalk of concrete, with curbs and gutters - will cover up green open space,  increase storm water runoff and pollute the Bay!

We are pretty fed up with the bureaucracy and being pushed around by the "powers that be."

If enough citizens of Homestead want a dedicated pedestrian path, then let us build one together, after we take some time to engage in a road use survey. http://www.indiegogo.com/forevergreen

In the meantime, we can enhance our natural pedestrian paths with a few fixes - and create new paths where none exist - by engaging in some driver education and behavior modification - such as changing how we park our cars.

Please chip in a dollar or more to make a statement in support of respect for others and some good old fashioned common sense!

Honestly, people - this is MILL VALLEY California - Even if the majority of us wanted a "sidewalk" where none currently exists  - would we have to accept $900,000 of Safe Routes to Schools funding to build it?

Shouldn't that go to an area with less money and a more urgent need?
