Alison Goodman, M.A. MVMS Counseling Department
Barbara Easterlin, PhD   One of the most challenging tasks for middle school children is staying organized. Please join Alison Goodman, M.A. and psychologist Barbara Easterlin, PhD, for a discussion of:

  • The 5 most important middle school skills for success
  • Creating realistic habits, routines, and expectations for home and school
  • When you need to be concerned or seek help for your middle school student
  • Development of Executive Functioning in Middle School     

Alison Goodman has her M.A. in School Counseling from the University of San Francisco. She has worked worked as an elementary and middle school counselor in Marin County for the past _ years.  Alison is most passionate about helping her students and their parents navigate the amazing, quirky journey they undergo from childhood to adolescence.      
 
Barbara Easterlin, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist.  In addition to being on the clinical faculty at UC Berkeley, Dr. Easterlin is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Hyperactivity, Attention, and Learning Problems Clinic at UCSF.  She does psycho-educational assessment of children with ADHD, learning problems, and executive functioning deficits.  Her private practice includes parenting consultation, as well as working with individuals and couples.  Dr. Easterling frequently lectures diagnosing ADHD, executive functions, and navigating the social world of girls. One of her two children is in middle school, and the other is in high school.
