Listening to Music, An Ancient Path to Healing

Music affects people emotionally, physically and aesthetically. Since the beginning of time, music has been viewed as therapeutic, and the shamans, the Greeks and modern-day music therapists all have viewed music as integral to healing. Through teaching and experiential listening, this presentation will demonstrate how you can use music in your own healing process.

Our presenter, Lindsey Beaven, MFT, is the Guided Imagery and Healing Arts practitioner at Marin General Hospital and is a Fellow of the Association of Music and Imagery. She has worked with music in the healing process since 2001 and finds that it deepens her work in significant ways.
Please join us in learning more about this ancient method of healing for your own life.
