Coyotes in Our Midst: Learning to Live with America's Native 'Song Dog'

Part of the Tamalpais Community Services District's Wednesday Speaker Series, Coyotes in Our Midst will feature a presentation by Camilla H. Fox, founder of the Marin-based National non-profit organization Project Coyote.

Join Camilla as she explores coyote ecology, and biology in urban and rural ecosystems, human-coyote coexistence strategies, coyote conflict management and the value of community-based conservation approaches to living with coyotes and other urban wildlife.

Included is a showing of the documentary film: American Coyote- Still Wild At Heart. This entertaining and informative, 30-minute film reveals the fascinating and complex world of Canis latrans - the coyote - and its keen intelligence, amazing resourcefulness, and importance as keystone carnivores in many ecosystems.  While the film unfolds with the return of coyotes to the San Francisco Bay area, it pursues the coyote's story across the North American landscape -- from northern California to Chicago to New York City.
