Better Breathers Club

Sponsored by the American Lung Association, the Better
Breathers Club program provides information on breathing problems and support for participants and their families. Meetings are facilitated by DorAnne Donesky, PhD, RN, a pulmonary nurse and clinical researcher at UCSF. Meetings are free and open to the public.

COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is an umbrella term for chronic bronchitis and emphysema, two conditions in which the airways are obstructed. It is the third leading cause of death in the United States.
