The Mill Valley Better Breathers Club holiday meeting will feature Alan Becker speaking on enjoying life to the fullest with chronic lung disease. Holiday refreshments will be served.
Meetings are free and open to the public, and are facilitated by DorAnne Donesky, pulmonary nurse specialist at UCSF. Meetings are typically fourth Thursday of the month from 1 to 2 pm, but due to the holidays have been moved to Dec. 1 for both the November and December meeting.
Sponsored by the American Lung Association, the Better Breathers Club program provides information on breathing problems and support for participants and their families. COPD is an umbrella term for chronic bronchitis and emphysema, two conditions in which the airways are obstructed.
