A Day to Move Beyond Fossil Fuels

On Saturday, September 24, millions of people in 188 countries will honor, “a day to move beyond fossil fuels” organized and inspired by 350.Org. In Mill Valley, Transition Mill Valley is inviting our community to jump on a bike, skateboard, or walk about town.

 Plan a day that’s different or keep your routine but leave your car at home.  * Walk or bike to the Mill Valley Art Festival, *Have an adventure, find out what  your community businesses have to offer, * Bring your music to the commons, *Picnic in the park, *Meet a friend along a trail or creek.

The City of Mill Valley is also honoring this day with a proclamation that Saturday, September 24, 2011 is A Day to Move Beyond Fossil Fuels in the City of Mill Valley and “encourages citizens and visitors to get out of their cars and get on their feet and walk or bike, or skate board to envision a different way of moving around town and preserve our community and our planet.”
