The board met Wednesday, July 24 to talk about the Mobility, Hazards and Public Safety portions, followed by Land Use and the 2009-2014 Housing Element on Thursday, July 25. Members planned to discuss any remaining topics today at 7 p.m. – but there were none.

“They finished their review of all documents,” said Mike Moore, Director of Planning and Building. “They did not need tonight’s meeting.”

The city sent out a notification and has posted signs on the City Hall door.

On August 26, the Planning Commission is set to consider a resolution to adopt the MV2040, which includes the 2009-2014 Housing Element, and the City Council will start holding public hearings in September.

“The reason we’re waiting until then is because we are still in the public comment period on the draft environmental impact report,” Moore said.

The community has until 3 p.m. on August 26 to submit written comments to Danielle Staude at dstaude@cityofmillvalley.org or via mail to 26 Corte Madera Avenue, Mill Valley, CA 94941.

During the public hearings, the Planning Commission made minor changes that included some additional information and clarification of language, but nothing significant.

“The substance,” Moore said, “is still the same.”
