Looking to go to President Barack Obama’s Inauguration on Jan. 21?
One of the newest arrivals in the U.S. House of Representatives might be able to help.
Rep. Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael), who was elected last November to replace retiring longtime North Bay Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey in the new 2nd Congressional District, has tickets to the Inaugural Ceremonies in Washington, D.C. on January 21, and is holding an online lottery to give away some tickets to his constituents.
“I’m looking forward to the 57th Presidential Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremonies and I’m excited to be able to invite my constituents to join me for this historic event,” Huffman said in a statement.
To be eligible to win, entrants must be a resident of California's 2nd Congressional District and fill out a form on Huffman's website by midnight Pacific time, Sunday, Jan. 13. Huffman will notify recipients by the close of business on Monday, Jan. 14.
