Mill Valley Looking to Fill Spot on County’s Commission on Aging Board

Those interested in serving on the advisory council to the Marin County Board of Supervisors should return applications by September 6 at 5 p.m.

The Mill Valley City Council is looking for volunteers to apply for a recently vacated seat on the Marin County Commission on Aging. Applications are due to the City Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on September 6.

“Anita Garner alerted us earlier in the week that she has taken on a new job assignment, requiring a great deal of travel and she feels that she will not be able to fulfill her duties on the Commission anymore,” said Mil Valley City Clerk Kelsey Rogers.

The appointed candidate would fill the current interim vacancy which expires on June 30, 2014 and then be eligible to reapply for the next three year term from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2017.
