Let's See Those Endeavour Flyover Photos

Perched atop NASA’s 747 Shuttle Carrier aircraft, the Space Shuttle Endeavour made its farewell tour over Northern California Friday morning. Did you snap any photos? Post them here!

Did you head out Friday morning to witness history?

The Space Shuttle Endeavour made its once-in-a-lifetime farewell tour over Northern California, making low-level flyovers at about 1,500 feet above locations along a planned flight path that included the Bay Area, from Sacramento to San Francisco and even NASA Ames Research Center near Mountain View.

Whether you're were wielding a phone camera or a Nikon digital SLR, we want to see what you saw. Share your pictures with fellow Patch users here.

If you spotted the shuttle during the four-and-a-half-hour period, use Twitter hashtags #spottheshuttle and #OV105, Endeavour's vehicle designation, to share your thoughts.

You can also share your photos on NASA’s Flickr Group

Finally- someone else has wasted more on PR than Novato. True- the space shuttle is beautiful, but our $83,000 pom pom girl is built too.

Dear Robert Sanford, Your pic of the spectators on the crest of the Marin Headlands in foreground with shuttle directly above is such a powerful image. Thank you!
