Notice of Parks and Recreation Commission Public Hearing

The Mill Valley Downtown Plaza, due to its location, is a central public gathering place. The Parks & Recreation Commission is seeking public input to assist them in evaluating the various uses of the Plaza and potential changes in the use ordinance. The community has shown interest in expanding the use of the Plaza, such as allowing additional amplified music performances, community events, and larger special events.  These items will be some of the modifications discussed at the public hearing. No physical changes to the Plaza will be heard or considered.
This is the opportunity for all interested parties to express their opinions and thoughts on the subject.  No action will be taken at this hearing. Public input obtained at the hearing will be considered by the Parks & Recreation Commission in making its recommendation to City Council for potential changes to the Downtown Plaza ordinance.
The meeting will take place in the City Council Chambers, 26 Corte Madera Ave. on July 13th, 2011 at 7:00 pm.
All persons interested are encouraged to appear and be heard or submit written statements at or prior to the hearing. Please provide written statements to:
