Marin Residents' Toxic Away Day!

Free disposal of select Residential Household Hazardous Waste for Marin County Residents.

With an appointment, residents can bring in item such as: paints, stain, shellac, solvents, thinners, roof patch, garden sprays, fertilizers, ant traps, pesticides, herbicides, rat poison, adhesives, caulk, motor oil, batteries, antifreeze, pool chemicals, bleach, and cleaners. Also included are computer monitors, all household size and cell phone batteries. For safety reasons, a limit of 15 gallons of liquid or 125lbs of dry waste, combined loads limited to 8.5lbs per gallon. Residents are encouraged to keep these limitations in mind and help neighbors with their waste.

An appointment is necessary, and can be made by calling 1.800.207.8222, or for further information dial ‘0’ at the prompt and online at www.zerowastemarin.org Residents who arrive at the event without an appointment will be turned away.
