The Mayor will introduce and explain the City's new eComment Pilot Program that will make it possible for internet users watching live City Council meeting webcasts to submit public comments in real-time to the Council.

COUNCIL AND STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. Introduction and Congratulations to newly elected Mill Valley School District Board Members, Leslie A. Wachtel and Bob Jacobs.

2. Presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to Parks and Recreation Director Christine Sansom on the occasion of her retirement for 22 Years of Service to the City of Mill Valley. 

3. Presentation of a Proclamation Recognizing the Tamalpais High School Girls Tennis Team.

4. Administration of the Oath of Office to recently promoted Fire Chief Jeff Davidson, Battalion Chief Tom Welch, Fire Captain Nick Langlois and Firefighter Craig Sloan.

5. Administration of the Oath of Office to Mill Valley Police Department Officer Kyle Maxwell.

Recommended Action: Elect a Mayor and Vice Mayor. 

CONSENT CALENDAR--The following items listed on the Consent Calendar to be considered routine and are approved by a single motion without discussion. The Mayor or any member of the City Council or the public may request that any item listed under the Consent Calendar be removed and action taken separately. In the event that an item is removed from the Consent Calendar, it shall be considered in its numerical order.

8. Warrants--$1,234,377.05.
Recommended Action: Approve paying expenses authorized by the adopted City Budget.

9. Consideration of the Minutes of the November 21, 2011 City Council meeting.
Recommended Action: Approve Minutes.

10. Acceptance of a $500 donation from Myra and Burton Wise for Volunteer Firefighters personal protection equipment.
Recommended Action: Approve the acceptance of the donation.
