Charrette Week takes place the last week in June
Dear Community Member ,
We would like to invite you to take part in Marin’s charrette week. The charrette week is an intensive planning process which will help Marin to update its Community Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness. We recognize that homelessness impacts everyone in the community not just individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness and this includes the local business community and neighborhoods.
We would like to encourage residents to come out and participate in the Planning process which is focused on a charrette week beginning June 25th. The core of our planning activities centers around two key days (June 25th and June 26th) where key issue areas related to homelessness will be discussed. Although all sessions are open to anyone interested in attending we feel that the resident community would have a particular interest in attending the sessions on Chronic Homelessness and Criminalization of Homelessness. These areas will focus particularly on impact on the local community. It is important to note that the Charrette week is only the beginning of the planning process, the week’s activities focus on solutions and strategies to reduce homelessness. This is not a decision making meeting but an opportunity to hear about strategies and provide your feedback on the discussion.

We have attached a schedule of events and a guide which explains more about the planning process and how the community can contribute to this process.
We understand that not everyone can attend these events and the charrette is not the only opportunity to provide your input, we encourage you to keep up with the progress and the development of the plan by visiting the website or attending future Planning meetings that are held regularly throughout the year.
