Council Tackles Loaded Agenda Monday Night

Although the item getting the most attention could be postponed to May, the City Council has plenty of important business to tend to at its April 16 meeting.

Despite a surging online uproar and garnering topic du jour status all over town, the might only make a brief appearance at the City Council's meeting Monday night.

The owner of the building Subway hopes to occupy the council's hearing on her appeal of the Planning Commission's Feb. 27 decision to deny Subway a permit to move downtown. City staff has recommended delaying the hearing to May. 7.

That possible delay won't give the council the night off, however, as its agenda includes a deal on adding electric car-charging stations near , the resolution of a smelly situation between neighbors and accepting a donation to help make the community garden annex a reality.
