Woman Carjacked on Dorset Lane

Resident says a man walked up to her as she exited her silver BMW X5 SUV in her driveway, pointed a gun at her and told her to hand over the keys. He then drove off in the SUV, police say.

A resident of Dorset Lane was carjacked in the driveway of her home Saturday afternoon, with the suspect brandishing a gun and demanding her keys before fleeing in her silver 2007 BMW X5 SUV, police said.

The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. Saturday as the woman returned home in the vehicle, according to Sgt. Paul Wrapp. As she exited the SUV, she was approached by a male subject in his 20s or 30s who was either white or Hispanic. The man pointed a gun at her and told her to give him the keys to the SUV, Wrapp said.

The man then drove off in the car heading west on Dorset Lane toward Meadow Drive. Dorset runs parallel to East Blithedale Avenue near the Chevron gas station.
