VIDEO: High Tides Cause Afternoon Flooding on Shoreline Hwy.

Cars drove through about four inches of water just before entering Tam Valley.

About four inches of water covered the northbound lanes of Shoreline Hwy. around 1:30 p.m., with California Highway Patrol officials saying the flooding was caused by high tides.

"It’s not very normal but if there’s an extrmeley high tide, it can happen," Officer Ron Chastain said.

Miller Ave. ? That sure looks like Hwy. 1 in Manzanita to me. I was working on a houseboat today at gate 6 !/2. The water crested up to the parking lot at about1:30 pm, but did not flood the area of parking.

Hi Ricardo, yes it was Shoreline Hwy, sorry about that. Still learning the area.

Hi Cate, You don't need to apologize, I fully understand what you have to do. Learning this area takes decades, it is different than most other areas. Also, I was wrong about Mountain View Ave (it is in M.V.). , I got it crossed up with Mountain Lane, which is not in M.V.. You were right in your report and I was wrong, sorry about THAT !
