Pricey Stroller, Pricier Bikes Stolen

This week's roundup of police activities include plenty of stolen bicycles, one stroller and several iPhones. Also, dogs barked and music was played too loudly.

May 29

9:17 a.m. – A number of residents of the 400 block of Throckmorton Ave., where a and a in recent weeks, reported possible vandalism as many of their cars had their mirrors flipped in or damaged. That included a silver Volkswagen and a green Honda. Police have no suspect info.

10:40 a.m. – Two expensive mountain bikes were reported stolen from an unlocked shed in the backyard of a Mountain View Ave. home. The bikes were valued at $8,000.

11:51 a.m. – A student at reported that his Marin Bolinas Ridge mountain bike, valued at $600, was stolen from the bike rack. The boy said the bike had been locked up on a bike rack on the school’s campus.

2:30 p.m. – A resident of Miller Ave. reported that her $300 stroller was taken from in front of her home sometime overnight.

4:55 p.m. – A woman called police to report that her daughter’s Specialized mountain bike was stolen from the campus of Mill Valley Middle School. The bike, valued at $450, was locked up near the sixth grade classrooms, the student told police.

9:54 p.m. – A resident of Shelter Bay Ave. reported that a neighbor’s dog had been barking for the past two hours. The dog’s owner was in the hospital and police determined that a caregiver would be checking in on the dog.

May 31

3:36 p.m. – A student at reported that someone opened her PE locker and stole her iPhone 4S with a silver case.

8:24 p.m. – The owner of a black Jeep Cherokee reported that someone broke into the car by smashing the passenger’s side window and stole a purse and two iPhones.

June 1

7:35 p.m. – A resident stopped by the to drop off a card and donuts. No word if the gifts were for .

10:11 p.m. – A resident of Buena Vista Ave. reported that a neighbor was playing loud music. Police went to the scene and was told that it was a 16-year-old’s birthday party and that the party was ending at 11 p.m. Police advised the parents to turn down the music and close the doors.

10:20 p.m. – A resident of Ethel Ave. reported loud drums coming from the home of her neighbor across the street. Police went to the area and determined that it was all quiet – except for the .

June 2

5:18 p.m. – A 55-year-old man who had been drinking fell down outside the 2am Club. Someone helped the man up but the person who called the police was concerned about the man’s well being and called police. Emergency personnel responded.

June 3

2:19 a.m. – A resident of Sycamore Ave. reported that four men were drinking outside her home. Police went to the scene and arrested one of the men on suspicion of public intoxication.
