Police: Young Girls Report Being Harassed by Man in Sycamore Area

Police are investigating two incidents where a Hispanic male in a car has asked for directions, and commented on how the girls looked.

Mill Valley police are investigating two incidents of young girls being harassed by a man asking for directions and then commenting on their appearance.

The latest occurred Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. when a Hispanic male adult between 20-30-years-old pulled up in newer model black sedan and asked a 15-year-old girl who was walking through a residential neighborhood for directions to Sycamore Ave.

Detective Sgt. Paul Wrapp said the girl was about a block away from the street, and as she was trying to explain where it was the man said something along the lines of “I will bring you back,” and “You look nice today.”

A similar incident occurred back in May, when a man also described as a Hispanic male adult between 20-30-years, with short black hair, asked a young girl for directions in the same area, and also commented on how she looked. In this case, police say the man may have been associated with a silver sedan.
