Marin Terrace Manager Arrested For Suspected $40K Fraud From Elderly Resident

Marianita Capra, 49, of Novato, was arrested after an investigation of possible identity theft and financial elder abuse of more than $40,000 involving a resident at the assisted living facility.

Marin Terrace manager Marianita Capra, 49, of Novato, was arrested Wednesday after an investigation by Mill Valley Police into the possible identity theft and financial abuse of an elderly resident at the 297 Miller Ave. assisted living facility.

Over the last several months, Terrace is suspected of more than $40,000 in fradulent activity involving one victim so far. 

"We will continue investigating to determine if there are more potential victims," police spokesman Paul Wrapp said.

Capra was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Detective David Kollerer. Anyone with any information is encouraged to come forward by contacting Kollerer or Wrapp at 415-389-4100.
